Mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets are now widely common throughout the world, and millions of people rely on the use of these devices in their work. That is why an increasing number of companies are implementing BYOD (bring your own devices) policies, which specify in black and white the permissible use of personal devices in the workplace.
BYOD can be hugely beneficial for management as well as employees. As employees are hugely familiar with their own devices and know the functions that they need to fulfil, businesses see increased productivity and, ultimately, increased revenue. Once implemented properly and followed appropriately, BYOD is a win-win.
